Hey, it’s Dustin with the Davidson Group here. We’ve got episode #3 of Real talk coming to you today. I want to talk about an upcoming event that we have going on.
In a couple of weeks, we have the Freeman Joplin Memorial Run and we have a handful of people in our office that are going to be running Liberty 5K.
Sounds pretty daunting for someone like me because I don’t run a lot or haven’t run a lot up until the past few weeks, but we’ve got Luke Gibson who is a runner going to be participating. We’ve got Allen Hall, our sales manager participating, and we’ve got Leia Anderson, who works and basically runs the office. Don’t tell Allen, but she’s going to be participating as well as myself. So
the fun part about this race is the winner is going to get $50. Not a huge prize. It cost $40 to register, so we’re basically making our money back. But the really fun part is the loser has to wear a wedding dress for a day.
So out of those people who do you think is going to have to wear the wedding dress?
We’ve been planning and this thing started. It started off with Alan talking about how he wanted to run a 5K in under 24 minutes and so I jumped in and said, “Well I could do that,” and
got the banter going on in the office and then we decided to sign up for the race and I have pulled a training schedule that is to build yourself up into running a 24-minute 5K. The catch to the schedule is it assumes you have already been running, which it had not been so it’s been pretty daunting. If you could imagine, but you know, we’re working through it. I don’t know if I’m going to hit the 24-minute mark, but I don’t have to worry about that. I just have to beat the last person, which I promise will happen.
So knowing that that person wearing the dress will not be me, it could be Leia. It could be Allen, or it could be Luke.
Again, who do you think that’s going to be?
I’d like to show them. it’ll be a few weeks, but I’d like to show them on Real Talk just to show them in all their glory. Anyway.
just a fun little thing we’re doing here just to keep things fresh in the office. Obviously, it’s a way to help get in shape and be a little bit more active. Obviously, I have not been, so
anyway, that’s episode 3 for Real Talk. Hopefully, you found some enjoyment. Hey, don’t forget please, please comment who you think out of out of this list here. Who do you think is going to lose the race and wear the wedding dress?
Hope to talk to you soon.
